Self care tips for Stage 3 Restrictions
This is a unprecedented time in history and a lot of us are uncomfortable with the unknown. However, it is important to look after your mental and physical well-being more than ever. When running through life, its often are feet that are the most neglected. Lock down presents an opportunity for us to take a step back and take better care of ourselves.
Here are some tips to get into a better foot care regime:
Moisturise your feet
When it comes to moisturising we often tend to forget our feet. If you can put foot cream on once a day after your daily shower or bath you will see a huge difference in your skin. If you have dry heels then Vaseline is a good home remedy.
Put your shoes on at least once a day
Many of us may be working from home during this time - which means cosy ugg boots and slippers all day. However, they don’t provide our feet with the right level of support. Try wearing your shoes to do your errands like gardening or cooking or ironing.
Don’t forget to dedicate time to exercise
Our average step count has fallen dramatically in the last few months. We are not commuting to work, or we are walking around less because we are not leaving our homes as much. This lack of passive exercise is causing negative impacts of our physical and mental health being. This is why it’s even more important now , with the gyms closed, that we make a conscious effort to dedicate time in our day to exercise. Stuck for ideas?
